Finned Air Heaters are typically utilized in low to medium temperature forced or free convective air applications. Applications typically involve heating clean indoor air from ambient temperatures to 250/275°F for steel-finned units and 550°F for stainless fins. Our sturdy tubular element serves as the foundation for the production of finned air heaters. The element surface is continuously covered with tightly spiral coiled fin material to enhance the convective surface area for heating non-corrosive gases and air.

Since there is less chance of electrical shock and fire from combustible particles in the flow stream, finned heating components are safer to use than open coil heaters. Our robust finned air heater comes in a longer service life and less maintenance needed. Finned tubulars’ power loading (w/in) can be adjusted to suit any open coil arrangement. Although there will typically be a little increase in pressure loss when utilizing finned elements compared to open coils, it won’t usually be noticeable.
